Activities
Residents Activities are arranged by our full-time on-site Activity Coordinator. Activities focus on meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the residents and building connections amongst one another, as well as in the community. Meals
Resident meals are coordinated by our Registered Dietitian and Lead Cook. We believe it is important for residents to have choice in what they eat.
Visiting
For the health and well-being of our residents, we highly encourage family and friends to visit as frequently as possible! Visiting hours are flexible, however, we do ask that visitors attempt to arrive prior to 9:00PM.
Beauty Salon
You have all heard the saying, if you look good, you feel good! Which is why we have a licensed hairdresser available to provide hair care at our in-house salon. Also available are barber visits every 4-weeks.
Church Services
Kiwanis recognizes the importance of spiritual connection and healing. In the Heritage room, you will find a Chapel with beautiful stained glass windows, a piano, and historical readings. We offer a variety of church services, including Sunday Service and Communion.
Wheelchair Accessible Van
Residents of Kiwanis are always able to enjoy the benefits of having a wheelchair accessible van available. As planned by the Activity Coordinator, frequent outings include local restaurants and shopping trips. We also encourage members of our community to come out and receive proper training on maneuvering the van to assist with getting their loved ones around in the community.
Rehabilitation Services
A Rehabilitation Assistant is available on-site Monday to Friday to assist residents with mobility needs, to assist with coordinating equipment ordering, and to perform equipment adjustments.
Foot Care Services
Proper foot care is an important part of maintaining a clean bill of health. Kiwanis Nursing Home will provide basic care as part of daily care. Additionally, Certified Foot Care Specialists are available to arrange on-site visits with your loved ones.
